Krystal Baker
Co-Owner
Krystal graduated from NC State University in 2003 with a degree in political science with a concentration in public policy but her true passion was working for the school newspaper’s advertising office. She returned to NC State Student Media in 2004 as the Business and Marketing Adviser where she trained current students on how to sell, design and market their products which included 2 newspapers, a yearbook, literary magazine and a radio station. After thirteen years in this position, Krystal took a break to focus on being a mom. Krystal’s love for design, marketing and church led her to First United Methodist where she was the Director of Communications for 3 years. In this role Krystal designed all printed materials, created video content, live-streamed and implemented communication strategies including social media. Krystal has been married to Dwayne for ten years and they have one son, Ben.
Melanie Raynor
Co-Owner
A Wilson native, Melanie graduated from NC State University in 2005 with a degree in business management and a concentration in marketing. Melanie has spent the last twelve years in the healthcare industry, most recently serving as Wilson Medical Center’s director of marketing and communications. In this role, Melanie developed and implemented marketing and communication strategies for the hospital. In addition to content creation, website and social media management, Melanie led the hospital’s advertising campaigns, including print, radio and digital, and coordinated engagement in community events. Melanie has a strong sense of community and enjoys participating with organizations such as the American Heart Association, United Way of Wilson, American Cancer Society and the NC Whirligig Festival. Melanie has been married to Kent for ten years and has three children - Owen, Brooklynn and Mila.
